Terms of Service

Welcome to ClikSo! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ClikSo website (https://clik.so) and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Playxoft Studios Private Limited, a company registered in India ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By creating an account or using ClikSo, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Acceptable Use Policy

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse. The rules in this section apply to every plan — Free and paid alike. Paying for a subscription does not exempt you from them, and does not buy you extra warnings.

2.1 What these rules cover

These rules apply to more than the destination URL. They cover everything a link you create on ClikSo points to or promotes, including:

the destination URL, and any other address the link can send a visitor to (for example an A/B test variant, a country- or device-specific destination, or the page shown after a link expires);
the link's title, preview text and preview image (the metadata shown when the link is shared);
any custom domain you connect to ClikSo, and the name of that domain itself;
any QR code generated for the link.

A link breaks these rules if the page it leads to breaks them — even if the page looks harmless at first and only leads there after another click or redirect.

2.2 Content not allowed on any plan

You agree NOT to use ClikSo to shorten, share, or promote any of the following. Content in these categories may result in your links, workspace and account being banned.

Adult or Sexual Content: Pornography, explicit nudity, sexual services, cam or escort sites, and any other content intended for sexual arousal — including "soft" or teaser pages that lead to it.
Sexual Enhancement Products: Products or services sold for sexual performance or enhancement, such as pills, sprays, supplements or devices marketed for erectile dysfunction, stamina, size or libido.
Unapproved Drugs or Supplements: Prescription medicines sold without a prescription, drugs or supplements not approved by the relevant health authority, and products making false or unproven health claims (for example "miracle" weight-loss, cure-all or muscle-building products).
Spam: Unsolicited bulk messages sent by email, SMS, messaging apps, social media comments or direct messages; links posted in bulk or automatically; and links used to hide a destination that a platform or mail filter would otherwise block.
Phishing: Pages that pretend to be another person, brand or service to trick people into giving up passwords, payment details, one-time codes or other personal data — including fake login, delivery, banking or prize pages.

The following are also never allowed:

Malware: Sites that install, or trick people into installing, malicious or unwanted software.
Scams & Fraud: Fake shops, investment or crypto schemes, fake giveaways, and any other attempt to take money or data dishonestly.
Illegal Content: Content that is criminal in nature, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual sexual imagery, or illegal goods/services (e.g., weapons, drugs, black market items).
Hate Speech & Harassment: Content that promotes violence, discrimination, or harassment based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.

We decide whether content falls into one of these categories. If you are not sure whether something is allowed, ask us at support@clik.so before you create the link.

3. Abuse Prevention & Enforcement

3.1 Monitoring

To ensure the safety and integrity of our Service, we reserve the right to:

Check Links: Every new or edited link is checked automatically against our blocklists, and we review links manually, including every link reported to us through our Report a Link page.
Track Usage: We log IP addresses and analyze usage patterns to identify potential abuse.
Prevent Exploitation: Creating multiple free accounts to bypass usage limits, or to come back after a ban, is strictly prohibited. If detected, all associated accounts will be banned.

3.2 Enforcement tools

When we find a violation, we may use any combination of the following:

Link Ban: We ban the link. A banned link stops redirecting — visitors, including anyone who scans its QR code, see a page saying the link is no longer available instead of your destination. The short link's name is kept out of circulation permanently, so neither you nor anyone else can reuse it.
Workspace Ban: We ban every link in a workspace at once, remove its custom domains, or close the workspace entirely. Closing a workspace cancels its subscription.
User (Account) Ban: We ban your account. A banned account can no longer sign in to ClikSo or use the API, and its API keys (including those used by the browser extension) stop working.
Domain Blocklist (Blocked Destinations): We block a website, or a single page on it, from being used as a destination. Once blocked, no ClikSo user can create a link to it or edit a link to point at it.
Email Blocklist: We may refuse, flag or ban accounts registered with an email address or email domain that is linked to past abuse.

We may apply these without notice when a violation is clear, and we may apply several at once — for example, banning the links, the workspace and the account together. A ban for breaking these rules does not entitle you to a refund.

4. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, disable, or terminate your account or workspace, or disable specific links, immediately and without prior notice if:

We verify or suspect a violation of these Terms.
We receive a valid abuse report from a third party or law enforcement agency.
You engage in activity that disrupts or harms our Service or infrastructure.

We may also block the IP addresses, email addresses, domains and payment methods associated with a terminated account from creating new accounts.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

We use a third-party payment processor to handle transactions. By making a purchase, you also agree to their terms.

All Payments (India & Global): Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, acting as our Merchant of Record. Dodo Payments handles billing, tax compliance, and invoicing on our behalf.

Refunds & Liability

Free Plan: The Free Plan is provided "AS IS" without any warranty or liability. You use it entirely at your own risk.
Paid Plans: Our liability for any claim related to a paid subscription is strictly limited to the amount you paid to us in the 6 months preceding the claim.
Compensation: Compensation for service downtime or errors is not guaranteed and may be provided as service credits or discounts at our sole discretion.

6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. PLAYXOFT STUDIOS PRIVATE LIMITED EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PLAYXOFT STUDIOS PRIVATE LIMITED, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE;
ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE;
ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; AND
UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kanchipuram or Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
