# List tags

`GET https://app.clik.so/api/tags`

> **In short:** Returns every tag in your workspace, sorted by name, with how many links carry each one.

## You need

* **API key permission:** `read`
* **Workspace role:** viewer or higher
* **Plan:** any plan, including Free

## Example

## Common errors

| Status | Code           | When                                            |
| ------ | -------------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| 401    | `UNAUTHORIZED` | The API key is missing, malformed or unknown.   |
| 429    | `RATE_LIMITED` | The key went over its per-minute request limit. |

## Good to know

* There is no paging. You always get every tag.
* `color` is an empty string when the tag has no colour.
