# Fix problems with AI apps

What to do when an AI app cannot sign in to Clikso, a tool is missing, an approval link expired, or the app reports a plan limit.

> **In short:**
>
> Most problems have a quick fix. If the app says it is signed out, connect it again. If a tool is missing, check its setting in Settings → AI connections, then start a new chat. If an approval expired, ask the app to try again.

## The app says it is not signed in

The app's sign-in has ended. This happens when you press **Disconnect** in Clikso, or after 30 days without use.

Connect it again from the app:

* **Claude:** Customize → Connectors, then press **Connect** next to Clikso.
* **Claude Code:** type `/mcp`, pick **clikso** and choose **Authenticate**.
* **Other apps:** remove Clikso and add it again, or use the app's sign-in button.

## A tool is missing

Check these in order:

1. **Is it Blocked?** Open the app in Settings → AI connections and look under **Tool permissions**. Blocked tools are hidden from the app.
2. **Is the connection View only?** Then Clikso hides every tool that makes changes. Press **Edit access** to allow changes.
3. **Are you a viewer?** If you are a viewer in every workspace you connected, the app can only read.
4. **Is it a click-stats tool?** `get_link_stats` and `get_workspace_stats` appear only while Clikso has them turned on.
5. **Start a new chat.** Some apps keep the old tool list until you do.

## The app says the tool is turned off

The app got "The user turned this tool off in Clikso". The tool is Blocked, or it follows a stricter twin. For example, Delete several links follows Delete link. See [Permissions](https://clik.so/docs/ai/permissions).

## No card, only a link

Claude, ChatGPT and VS Code show approvals as a Clikso card in the chat. If you get a link instead:

1. **Remove the connector and add it again.** The app then loads Clikso's new tool list, which includes the card. Starting a new chat is not always enough.
2. **Check the app.** Apps without card support, such as Claude Code, Cursor and Gemini, always use the link. That is expected.
3. **Check how it signed in.** The card is only for an app Clikso could verify. If the Clikso sign-in page said "Unverified app", approvals always come as a link.

The link works just as well. It opens a Clikso page with the same details and buttons.

## Claude asks to show the app

Before the first card, Claude may ask whether it can show the Clikso app in the chat. Choose **Allow** or **Always allow**. If you chose no, ask Claude for the approval link, or allow the app next time.

## The approval card or page has a problem

* **"This request expired".** Approvals last 10 minutes. Ask the app to try again.
* **"Denied".** You pressed Deny, so nothing was changed. Ask the app again if you change your mind.
* **"Request not found".** You opened the link while signed in to a different Clikso account. Sign in as the person who connected the app.
* **"This request can't be changed".** It was already approved, denied or used. Nothing more to do.
* **"Clikso can't run this now".** Something changed since the app asked, such as the tool being blocked. Nothing ran. The reason is shown.
* **The card shows only "Approve in Clikso".** The app did not pass the card what it needs. Press it to approve on the Clikso page.

## The app hit a plan limit

AI apps follow your plan's limits, the same as [API keys](https://clik.so/docs/limits). The app gets a plain message, often with an upgrade link:

* **"This needs the Pro plan"** (or another plan). The link uses a feature your plan does not have, like geo-targeting.
* **Monthly links, folders or tags.** You reached your plan's limit. The message says when it resets, where that applies.
* **Click stats.** AI apps and API keys share your workspace's analytics quota. Wait for it to reset, or upgrade.
* **"Too many requests. Wait N seconds".** The connection hit its rate limit. The app can try again after that.
* **"Finish payment to start using this workspace".** The workspace is waiting for its first payment. Finish it in the Clikso dashboard.
* **"This workspace is read-only".** The workspace is paused. The app can still read links and click stats, and the short links still work. Add a paid plan, or make it your default workspace, to make changes.

## The app is refused in a workspace

* **"This connection does not include that workspace".** Add it in Settings → AI connections with **Edit workspaces**.
* **"You can only view this workspace".** You are a viewer there. Ask a workspace admin for editor access.
* **"This connection is view only".** Press **Edit access** on the app's page to allow changes.
* **"This action is not available to AI connections".** Some things are never open to AI apps, like link passwords and billing. Do these in the dashboard.

## Problems when you connect

* **"Coming soon".** AI connections are not open to your account yet. We will let you know when they are.
* **Claude will not add another connector.** The Claude Free plan allows one custom connector. Remove another one first.
* **"Unverified app".** Clikso cannot confirm which app this is. See [Unverified apps](https://clik.so/docs/ai/other#unverified-apps).
* **Clikso asks you to verify your email.** You need a verified email before you can connect an app.
